Forty years on I'm still in love with wood, the flesh, bone and
sinew of trees, quietly sensual in an enduring half-life as furniture
and sculpture. My work is all about tactile and visual engagement
with this resonant material. The more active involvement it invites,
the more powerful it becomes and the more it gives in return.
